Final Limited Edition Black Arrow

Rolls-Royce has announced that they will be ceasing production of the Wraith Coupe, with no plans for a new generation of the vehicle. As a farewell, the automaker will release a limited edition version of the coupe, called the Black Arrow. This special edition is dedicated to the Thunderbolt racer that set a world speed record.

Only 12 units of the farewell Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Arrow will be produced. The vehicle is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the world speed record set by George Eyston in the Thunderbolt racer, which had two Rolls-Royce engines and reached a speed of 575.3 km/h in 1938.

Design and Features

The exterior of the vehicle is styled to resemble the Thunderbolt, with a silver body that fades to black and contrasting yellow accents. The paint has a special coating. The interior of the Black Arrow is decorated with black and yellow leather, along with wood trim. The front panel features an image of a Rolls-Royce engine in cross-section, while the ceiling has a starry sky lighting effect with constellations arranged exactly as they appeared above the Bonneville Salt Flats, where the Thunderbolt set the speed record.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Arrow is based on the Black Badge version, meaning it has a 6.6-liter V12 engine producing 632 horsepower. The coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

Future of Wraith Coupe

The reason for the cessation of production of the Wraith Coupe is that the Spectre electric vehicle will take its place. The Spectre has a similar design to the Wraith but is expected to be more powerful and faster.

In Conclusion

Rolls-Royce has decided to discontinue the Wraith Coupe, and the limited edition Black Arrow will serve as a farewell to the iconic model. The vehicle pays homage to the Thunderbolt, which set a world speed record, and features a unique design and special features. The new electric vehicle, the Spectre, will take the Wraith’s place in the lineup.
